      Fabulous and friendly country hospitality. My omelette was light fluffy and delicious. My friend's pancakes with bacon, maple syrup, banana and cream looked great and it was quickly eaten. An enjoyable Sunday drive and lunch. Very reasonable cost.

      Country Cafe in Pokeno is our favourite stopping place on the way to Auckland. The coffee and food are good. The location is convenient and currently parking is easy. The staff are competent. The decor is very tired and money needs to be spent on this. Attention to cleaning the toilet door and behind it and also the courtyard would be a big improvement. Remodeling the toilet and basin area would be great too as it is hard to squeeze around the toilet door.
