Palmerston North School of Design

Some years ago I attended this school to gain extra qualifications, and was impressed not only by the facilities, but also by the passion, dedication and total professionalism of the staff and tutors. Running a design course would be hard enough, but the school also ran a fashion course in parallel - this struck me as inspired... and an insane workload, yet the crew made it work so smoothly. I met a number of people on the course, and stay in touch with some of them to this day.
If you have an interest in graphic of fashion design, and live in the Manawatu, this is the place for you. The rates are brilliant and subsidies can be arranged. Once you graduate, they have all the contacts you need to either move into the workforce or progress on to the next level of your education. I was also amazed to discover that they can help you do paying freelance work and will give you course credit for it as well!
