Otira Stagecoach Hotel

Real old school Kiwi style hotel in one of the hidden gems of the west coast. Wide selection of food, beer, wine and spirits. Their chips are great. The staff are super helpful and will make you enjoy your stay.

Absolutely bonkers decor, well worth a look. The coffee is strong enough to sprout hairs on your chest. Neat wee outdoor area with playground and pig to amuse the kids.

Otira is such an awesome little spot, like stepping back in time, and the hotel is the heart of it. Coming from the Christchurch side, this hotel is when you know you're on the coast, it has that rugged coast feel, no frills, just good old coast spirit. Amazing spot to have a beer and watch over the trains moving into the gorge.
