Okains Bay Camping Ground

Very cheap camping option close to Christchurch. The lagoon is really safe and heaps of fun for kids. You can pick your spot to camp, which means you can end up with lots of room to yourself. The downside is you have to get in early at busy times!

Great campground, on a beautiful safe beach with a wonderful lagoon. Lots of fun camping here amongst the pine trees. Can't drink the water though!

A fantastic family friendly campsite not too far from Christchurch. Very easy to book. Sites aren't too close to one another. I read somewhere last year that 'all the trees had been cut down'... just to clarify for anyone looking - we visited her earlier this year (2019) and they definitely still have plenty of trees.

We stay here a lot over summer. Very affordable. Great swimming spot. You can choose your own campsite. Has a kids playground and a big flying fox which the kids really enjoy. Well maintained clean facilities.
