Growing Minds Mathematics Tuition

Our sons have been so fortunate to have received on- going mathematics tuition with Steven. Steven is at all times very professional and has really helped our sons to understand mathematical concepts. They have both gained so much confidence in a subject that they both struggled with and one which they are now happy to engage in and feel like they are competent mathematicians! Our older son is now attending University and we were initially told by his school that he should achieve NCEA level one, but that would be it. Due to Steven’s tutoring and the confidence he installed in our son, he decided to attempt NCEA Level 2 and subsequently passed. Our youngest son is currently under the guidance of Steven and his confidence and ability continue to growth. In fact, he asked if he could attend two lessons a week during term 3 and 4 to help him pass his year 10 exams! We would highly recommend Steven to any parents who wish to help their children progress and achieve in mathematics.

Growing Minds provides beneficial, enjoyable Mathematics support for our daughters on a one to one basis. The tutoring is carried out in a suitable focused environment.
Parents are kept well informed of progress either verbally, via email or an end of term report, which we found particularly useful.
The rewards have been awesome in assisting our girls to not only reach achieved standards in Mathematics, but in also giving them the confidence to strive for higher grades.

Growing Minds has been very helpful from Year 8 through to NCEA Level 1. It has given me work suited my abilities and challenged me as well. I was able to ask for help with things I didn't understand in class as well as be extended and do work above my level. This was very helpful as I occasionally got bored with what was taught in class. It also meant I was better prepared when it came to learning the topics in class.
I was also provided with a large amount of past exam papers and practice questions which saved me time having to look for them myself and buy the resources.

We would recommend Steven to any other parent considering extra math tuition for their child. We have used Stevens services for 3 x children now, all of whom have greatly benefitted. He engages well with them and provides constructive written appraisals to us to measure their progress.
