Green Gables Rest Home & Village

Overall this is a friendly, pleasant care home. However, GreenGables describes their rooms as; " beautiful gardens and light and airy rooms, we exude a sense of homeliness and comfort." This is not the case with my father's room. It's 6' x 8' is dark and looks out onto the parking area and a covered area where residents smoke. When I visited him from the UK, after several months of him being in here, his room had no furniture apart from a wardrobe and a meals on wheels trolley. I've since bought a desk and been given a small chest of drawers. I hope to review GreenGables again very soon, with a more positive rating, when these conditions have improved.
