This place really stands out on Fitzgerald ave so i thought i would stop in and try if for lunch last week while i was out working. The parking was not the greatest but i found somthing. The cafe itself was warm, cosy, clean and tidy. I then approached the food and was horrified at the prices $6 for a mince and cheese pie, $6 for an egg sandwhich and the two that got me the most were the cheese roll up for $5.50 or pumpkin soup for $9. These prices are way to high. You find most places sell a mince and cheese pie for around $4.50. And a peice of white bread and some cheese rolled up and toasted for about $2. Due to these high prices i never bought any food i just got a take away coffee that again was on the pricey side and left. The coffee was good however and the lady that served me was really friendly to but sadly with the prices in this cafe i wont be back.

I was pleasantly surprised at the calibre of the food and coffee at this cafe. Everything (except the teeny amount of chutney I was given to accompany my (piping hot with crispy filo - yum!) spinach and cheese pie) was right on the button. The staff were happy and helpful, the environment was clean and tidy, pricing was reasonable and there were toilets on site. I liked that it didn't matter who came in, be they business people, mums with children or elderly folk, all were treated to the same friendly and efficient service. A very nice experience indeed. :)
