Mangonui Fish Shop & Takeaways

This has got to be the busiest place in Mangonui, but anyone who's been here can surely tell you that it's well worth it. You really can't beat having fish and chips here on the old Mangonui wharf.
I have never actually dined in, as we always stop for a takeaway and although it is definitely expensive, I do think that the freshness makes it worth it. I will always get bluenose if it's available, so delicious!

Busy place but put out nice fish and chips in pretty quick time. Lovely setting, you can't beat fish and chips on an old wharf!

My only slight suggestion is that the tables were slightly greasy and in need of more regular wiping to keep them nice and clean.

Really good fish and chips with a brilliant view! On a nice day this is certainly the place to have lunch. The prices seem expensive but it’s based on weight and is genuinely fresh fish. Not often you would walk away unsatisfied. They have a great eat in option and meals are served in a nice basket with lemon etc available and a view of the harbour.

extremely beautiful food and a great view over the wharf, staff are always friendly aswell. A bit o the higher end of takeaway prices but you definately get your moneys worth with tasty fresh seafood

Stunning over the water setting, dine on the freshest seafood and have a beer while looking out to sea, love this place and the friendly staff.
