I went here a year or so ago over NYE. The fish and chips were really tasty and it was probably the best raw fish I've ever tasted. So filling! Unfortunately the wait was over an hour, but I can totally understand that due to the time of year, and the fact that the spot is so iconic. Good vibes!

Pricey but worth it, the fish is fresh and the outdoor dining area is nice and roomy and you can help yourself to sauces etc. It’s nice to eat right on the waters edge.

Always gotta stop in here when on holiday. Is pretty pricey but well worth the cost. The chips are probably the best I've ever tasted, so fresh and yummy. So much variety and love the seafood punnets.

We directly headed off here as found a lot of nice feadbacks. Well, view is stunning indeed whatever the weather, service and staff on a high level. But fish fillet was from frozen fish and so the quality of the food is quite average. We were expected more from this store.

Quite pricey compared to a lot of other fish and chip shops in the north island but it's a nice experience. Fish is always fresh and tasty and staff are nice as well. Definitely try the blue nose (my favourite!) and mussel fritters. There is plenty of seating here while you look out over the wharf. It's also really fun to go down to the wharf afterwards and talk to the locals fishing for snapper and kingfish
