Lovely scenery and a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and kind. They had a great selection of really good wine which were complimentary with a meal. Really satisfied with the experience. Highly recommended.

This is the best Winery I've visited in New Zealand. Not only is the wine delicious, there is unobstructed views of the mountain, open fires, classic fountains and blankets.
We had the cheese platter which was very generous. 10/10 would come again.

Came here for a lunch with a party of 9. We had wine tasting first which was complimentary when ordering a meal, otherwise it's $10 per person for 5 samples. For the meal we ordered the 3 course set meal with wine pairing. There was 2 additional taster courses and 4 wines in total. The meal was excellent. We were all very satisfied at the end. The wines were very nice too. The main highlight was the roast lamb, absolutely superb.
We also ordered the dessert surprise, which was a delicious souffle.
The atmosphere was good and the staff excellent. The weather was perfect, which always helps. We enjoyed a game of petanque at the end and strolled the grounds.
All in all an excellent experience and I will definitely be back.

One of the beautiful wineries on lake hayes- probably my favourite. They have a beautiful tasting room, $10 for a tasing which is redeemable on a purchase of wine - which was great! Dinner was on the expensive side but was so lovely and had some wonderful wine matches.

Of course it's a beautiful setting and the food and wines are lovely but I had to wait several minutes while the Maitre'd finished what he was doing to greet me and show me to my table. I looked back and saw he was on facebook. Not ideal.
