I hit a pheasant and had to get the front of my car repaired. The team were very helpful and efficient and the fix and finish were great.

My van was booked in to be repaired, the courtesy car they gave was worse than my van, it kept popping out of gear and shuddering so bad I returned and asked for another one, only to be given a sob story that it was okay, but given another car.
The second car after a few days kept surging, I ended up asking my boss for a loan car. And only used the courtesy car periodically. I didn't let GWA know because we were in lockdown.
My van was repaired, the day I picked it up I was asked for a $500 excess, I said I don't have to pay one, she asks: oh did they hit you? Yet the day I went in I told her I was hit, she rang the insurer to verify and said: oh they never told me at the start. I thought to myself, well if they never said anything, why didn't you? Weird!
I had to wait a few minutes while they were frantically hosing it down, the silly thing they did was hose the inside floor and I had to pull the carpet out to dry it out when I got home.
They sanded along my drivers side panels and sliding door, painted over it but it is a substandard job as when you walk up to the van you can see where they sanded, its like they only put one coat on. My work-colleagues said bloody hell that repair job on your panels is hideous!
The front bumper is new but it unclips and hangs at the edges, I've banged it in everyday since I've had it back. I haven't bothered taking it back for them to look at because I'll most likely get a long story of sorts.
They took my rear bumper off even though there was no damage to the rear. When I got it home there were 2 black cables hanging on the ground and I don't know what they're for? I used cable ties to put them in place but the van is due for a WOF so I'll ask them to check to see what it is.
03/06/2020 - update, the van went in for a WOF and the testing station inspector said the rear bumper sensors have been disconnected and reattached but who ever removed them to begin with pulled them out by yanking the wire and it has frayed, the sensors are slotted back but they are uneven. I notified my insurer and they are in the process of reviewing my email.
