Waikato District Health Board (DHB) employs over 6500 people and plans, funds and provides hospital and health services to more than 391,770 people in a region covering eight per cent of New Zealand. Waikato DHB, through its provider arm Health Waikato, has hospitals in Hamilton, Thames, Tokoroa, Te Kuiti and Taumarunui. Have visited many departments over the years and the level of care from the staff and all of the facilities are amazing. Personally I think the real unspoken heros are the orderlies who go above and beyond their duties and all with a bright smile & encouraging word which helps when you are unwell.

I have the utmost respect for the surgeons and nurses here in one of the biggest hospitals in New Zealand. The level of professionalism is great. I have been here for numerous appointments and surgeries. cant complain

A very good hospital with caring and professional staff. They have a wide range of facilities and services available for all ages, which is convenient having them all in one place. Parking can be difficult, but not impossible.

It's usually not great when you have to visit the hospital. However, we have been to the Meade Centre on two occasions over the past few months and it has been a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly, the clinics run on time, the fresh and new surroundings make you feel safe and comfortable that you are being well looked after.
The Bach cafe made us a great coffee as we left, too.
