Colonial City Motel and Conference Centre

Minimal service from the owner, not friendly at all. There was also a cat walking around all the time whether you like cats or not. The motel room was a bit clean and refurbished, but it did not look and feel like it was spanking new or clean enough to lick off surfaces. The doors and furniture was dated. I loved the look of the place which was why I chose it. The breakfast included was quite decent.

Stayed here on the way up to Auckland from Wellington. Tidy, clean and adequate and very affordable two bedroom unit did the job beautifully for one night. Great place for stopover on long haul drives.

Used their conference room once and had a great experience. Great amenities and excellent use of space.
