The Rivers Restaurant and Bar

Generous portions. Nice location. Had a dinner here. Service was slow since there were a few big groups but all waitresses and staff worked very hard, especially the girl working at the bar, busy but always with beautiful smiles. If you stay in Gisborne for one night. Here is your best bet for dinner.

Great service and great tidy restaurant with great well priced food. Enjoyed the wedges works as a starter, then chowder and the rivers famous guinness pie for main, fabulous. I have found that The Rivers is very popular and can be full in no time so it pays to book your table. Look forward to trying another dish on the menu.

Personally this is the best place to eat in Gisborne. We always book a table. Great chowder, love the steak and the wings. The daily specials are good too. Good cocktails and drinks. Great service.

awesome place to come to and chill wiht your friends even through the day when its quiet and peaceful. Love coming here with my friends having lunch and a drink and catch ups of course. Staff are just amazing as well

Very lovely place to come with your loved ones and friends. Very nice and warm atmosphere and vibe. Very classy and love the food, very good menus has a range of meals to choose from. But find it abit hard to find a park but it didn't bother me to have a nice walk along the riverside.
