Authentic English decorated pub great range of beer on tap and good red wine selection our steaks were cooked perfectly and served quickly the garlic bread was fresh and service friendly

Cant fault The Rivers at all. Highly recommened booking your table as its such a amazing place its always full, busy, and lots of laughter. The menu is great. so much to choose from. The staff are friendly, nothing bad to say about the place at all.

Very relaxing, sitting by The River. Food and service was awesome. Lots of old photos to entertain and see what Gisborne used to be like.

The four of us sat in the open windows enjoying the view of the river for lunch.
Bangers and Mash a hit, as was the chicken and bacon salad. We ladies enjoyed the pulled pork sliders washed down with Apple Cider from Harvest. Local cidery in town. We booked a table for 2 by a window on a very busy Friday night with many large groups. Service and food were good. This is a pub restaurant so expectations were not high but in hindsight we should have booked a smaller quieter place as we were celebrating a wedding anniversary.
