Lone Star Gisborne

Tried to book a group for dinner. Told us, that the biggest group they could accomodate was 8. Didn’t want the business, so we went elsewhere.

Nice food with generous portions, I got the starter nachos which came on a huge bowl & had pan fried Tarakihi, capers and mash followed with Banoffi pie ... the desserts we redeemed on our Lonestar Ideal for guys with a "guys" appetite. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Lone Star Gisborne is right on the wharf, so it’s the perfect spot to watch boats come and go and the sun go down as you enjoy a tasty meal. The staff are always exceptionally welcoming, friendly and professional. And, as for the food, Lone Star never fails to deliver - we always leave feeling full and very satisfied! I often order the Dixie Chicken, which is just divine! And if you go on your birthday and let staff know when you book, they’ll often surprise you with a free dessert. They’re also very accommodating of children, and always offer our little girl some coloured pencils and something to colour in as soon as we get to our table. So children are well-catered for.

Very friendly and polite staff here at lone star Gisborne. Very nice location on the wharf and very good sunshine when the days are sunny. Snacks from the bar are great love the chips and wedges they are so fresh and fulling

probably the best place to go for dinner and a drink as the staff are just amazing and so lovely to talk to. Really easy to get a reservation for a big or small group. Food is well priced and very too quality as well love there Rib here by far the best i have tasted
