There was a transport museum here that is very interesting and a lifestyle of various decades exhibition. The staff are pro and there are magic trick shows sometimes. We went there many times in 2016-17

This is the best museum with a transport exhibition and a lifestyle gallery. It shows a history of the early settlers who came in boats. My children loved it and there were old buses and trams to sit in. There was even a magic show.

My son loves it here :) So much history, great to learn about the early settlers of Otago. Lots of interactive activities too for the little ones. Hoping on the tram cart and the bus is always a must do. Great play room with nice toys, activities, and dress ups. We love Pixie Town at Christmas time too!

Great settlers museum! Much more interesting than the ones I remember from my school days. Even my teen sister was excited by it - she found many photo ops! Fantastic experience design - this museum is really designed to be interactive and engaging to a wide range of people.

A fascinating museum that tells the history of the different races who came to settle Otago. The exhibitions shows the art, the fashion, the innovation, and the transport they had, as well as how they lived. It is unique in the fact that it shows this through exhibitions for different decades. It is free to enter the museum, although, from time to time, they put on a special exhibition that has a charge. Definitely work a visit or two.
