Reids Joinery (2002) Limited

Reids did the joinery on my new-build house. They were extremely efficient and great to deal with. I would have no hesitation in dealing with them again or recommending them.

I would suggest avoiding Reids (I would give zero stars if I could). It took 6 months to get a final quote from them- 6 months! During this time I emailed them 12 times chasing it up, they replied 7 times, i.e. many of my emails went unanswered. I also called countless times and couldn’t get onto the person I needed. Basically, their communication skills are very poor. Then, at the end, after I dropped the high-spec options to reduce the cost of the job, the final quote was exactly the same as an earlier version which had all high spec options (the quote should have been $1.2k cheaper when I omitted the high spec items). I questioned Reids about this and they acted like a 10yo and said that they are so busy and no longer want to do the job- after 6 months toiling with them, that was their response when questioned about overcharging on the lower spec’d quote (they totally left me in the lurch)! I mistakenly thought that they were my only option for the job, so persisted with them for 6 months and then after all the terrible communication and trying to overcharge me, they acted like a school kid when questioned. After my dealings with Reids, I relised there was someone else (reputable and large too) who could do they job- I got a quote within 1 week, and it was $7.5k less than Reids including the high spec hardware (25% cheaper than Reids with better quality components). Again, the competition was $7.5k less, quick, friendly and easy to deal with! I would never use Reids after this experience.
