New owners and uplift of tavern. Eight of us ate in restaurant. Men thought their steak meat was good but disgusted with the side that came with it. Pizza was meant to have Marinated Garlic PRAWNS but were smallest tasteless shrimps the size of a small small button. Was not pizza cheese but a glug on tip of each piece. Inedible!!! Except for red meat on meals, Everyone's meals seemed to be done with on the cheap . All eight of us would not go back or reccommended.

Venue has had a total change since last time, while the venue looks great the chairs at the high tables were very slippery on the floor. The menu has totally changed with a price increase and the meals have gotten much much smaller $29 for two tiny pieces of fish and some chips. Probably won’t be going back definitely not value for money. It’s also very noisy in the restaurant now.

very good food definitely going back. Friendly atmo.sphere, great service even better food. The staff there are there to make you happy, they always ready to take your order, even when its really busy. The place is clean the portion size is crazy big and their gravy is the best. My number one resturaunt.

Greeted by friendly staff but the young girl didn't know what the roast or fish if the day was.
Roast meat was dried up and gravy seem to on veggies and not meat. Meat was placed on top of roasties which is a bad practice as the roast vegetables turn soggy.
Nice chicken enchilada but again it was placed on top of fries which do not stay crunchy. This practice of placing meat on top of other foods needs to stop and food should be a single layer on the plate. Pub meals in a lot of Dunedin hotels/taverns seems to be the practice and I hate it.
