Albatross Centre

It was OK. It was interesting, but the actual albatross watch is very overpriced for what it is.

Unique experience. The weather can be changeable so take warm clothes!

Visited this place twice, took both the albatross and the penguin tour. I prefer the albatross experience, together with a tour of the fortress (where you can also spot albatross nests). Depends on the time of the year you will see a different life stage of the albatross chicks. We visited in May, so the chicks were grown up and ready to fly.
The penguin tour was good too, but was rather late at night. April was not a good time as it was the moulting season...so you won't see as many birds coming back from the sea (because they are busy shredding their feather somewhere in the bush). You can call and check with the centre, the staff is very helpful.

This is a must stop on the Otago Peninsula great tours and also the cafe where you can sit and watch sheep through the window. Everyone is catered for and there were lots of great vegan and vegetarian options.
