From the moment you enter our custom designed clinic, providing separate waiting areas and consultation rooms for dogs, and cats, purpose-built grooming room, through to separate wards with extra large walk-in kennels, and a fully enclosed grassed courtyard. All domestic pets can be accommodated - dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits and rats.

We have an indoor & outdoor cattery both fully enclosed. Each unit has its separate sleeping room with plenty of space for exercise. We go the extra effort to ensure the cats are comfortable & safe.

Our dog units are very spacious in a well ventilated & insulated area. We can cater for dogs on bed rest and elderly dogs.

## Royston Suites
Superior room upgrades offer an extra level of comfort over and above our standard rooms.
These suites have a northerly aspect and are larger than our standard rooms, each with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, full Sky television and broadband internet. They also feature inside/outside living with a large private deck area.

If you would like to avail yourself of a suite, please contact your Surgeon or our Admissions Co-ordinator who will be able to arrange this for you.

Our receptionist will transfer calls directly to your room.

Complimentary wireless internet access is available for all Royston patients. To access this network, just ask your nurse for your wireless coupon, which contains access instructions and your user password. This coupon will enable access to the internet for the duration of your stay. Administration and IT staff are available to assist with any technical difficulties, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.

If you bring computer equipment, cellphones or other electronic devices into the hospital please be aware that Royston cannot take responsibility for their safe keeping.

## Meals
#### Inpatients:
Meal times are: Breakfast: 8:00am, Lunch - 12 noon, Dinner - 5:30pm.
In addition, you will be offered morning and afternoon tea and supper.

Our menu endeavours to cater for a variety of tastes and dietary needs. However, if nothing appeals, please ask for an alternative. If you have any particular dietary needs please discuss these with your nurse. Our food services staff will endeavour to ensure that any special requests are met. 

#### Visitors:
Reasonably priced meals can be ordered from the receptionist and a complimentary tea and coffee facility is available in the reception foyer.

## Parent or caregiver
Arrangements may be made for a parent or caregiver of a patient who requires additional non-medical care, to be accommodated at the hospital. Please discuss your requirements with the Theatre Bookings Co-ordinator or Ward Team Leader prior to admission. Charges may apply.

## Aftercare
#### Mobility Equipment
Royston Hospital has a variety of mobility equipment for hire or purchase. If you wish to hire any of these items, a refundable bond is payable prior to your discharge. The weekly hire fee will be deducted from this bond on return of the equipment.

#### Occupational Therapy
We can arrange for an occupational therapist to visit you at home to assist with your rehabilitation. There may be a cost involved dependent on your health provider, or if you are paying personally. The occupational therapist can inform you of this.
