Tucks & Bao

This has to be one of the worst experiences that I have ever had in Auckland. The squid was under cooked and chewy, the dumpling tasted of flour and the filling non-existent and the General Taos chicken was nothing but over powering ginger. How this place has been around for so long at those prices just astonishes me. One other pet peeve was the plastic water glasses and metal plates. When one can get a proper plate in any food court, I found it very insulting to have essentially picnic accessories in a restaurant where you are paying non picnic prices. At least the wine came in a proper glass, but that is about the best thing I can say about this place. A lot can be forgiven if the food is exceptional, but as this was not the case, this was a truly disappointing and expensive experience

Came for lunch with a few friends, food was good and interesting fusion taste. Service was quick, would definitely visit again.

Great venue to meet up and have some unique fusion food

Went for dinner using zomato gold, good value for money! The green veggies dish was really good and so was the pork belly bao. The fried chicken wasn’t as great. We weren’t fans of the batter specifically. The staff was very friendly. Would like to go back and try more things off the menu.

Excellent service and delicious food. Our order arrived within about 10 minutes and the staff were very attentive. In a good location. I highly recommend the pork belly bao.
