Auckland really doesn't have many good cafes so this one stands out, if only because it has WiFi (that actually works).
The staff are very friendly, food is good and teas & coffee can be tailored to your liking.
Music is much better than other cafés in the CBD.

A nice place to have cip of tea/ coffee with a good selection of food. Free wifi. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely go here again.

The Shelf offers a range of food options, including menu and cabinet items.
While the inside is a bit small, it is cosy and a good place to meet friends.
The prices are also (especially for an Auckland City cafe).

Coffee tastes good as well. If you order the cafe mocha, they will serve the coffee and chocolate separately. The chocolate comes in two forms — there’s a syrup form and a thin bar.
