The Shelf

My favourite menu is the waffle (must try!) but most of the food are very fresh and delicious. Also good coffee! The staffs are friendly. The shelf is the nice place to hang out in the city.

Very cute and cosy cafe. food was presented beautifully and my scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, but will say they were a bit under seasoned for my liking.

Had breakfast here twice recently while in NZ It's a little different, not your average cafe DIY hit chocolate with instructions on the wall how to make it Quirky and great food, well priced and tasty Recommend

Came here with a friend from aussie and we ordered a piece of rocky road, a lamb salad, a spicy chai latte and a hot chocolate. Rocky road is literally a piece of chocolate with all the goodies like Oreo, marshmallow, choco buttons. It’s a bit hard so actually the fork doesn’t help so I used my hand to pick it up and it was quite messy haha. Hot chocolate is awesome because you get a glass of hot milk with a chocolate bar and you can pour some melted chocolate into the milk to make your own drink. Better take the picture quickly because the chocolate bar will melt and disappear in the glass. The lamb in the salad was nicely cooked and flavoured. Perhaps we were too hungry and we found the serving a bit small. Good that they have free wifi and the environment is cozy.

Glad to discover this cute cafe. I tried their hot chocolate, deconstructed mocha and normal flat white. Lovely chill atmosphere to hangout with your friends. Love all their beverages which was well presented. I’ll visit again for hot chocolate and try some food.
