What an experience of visiting this very popular, chic and stylish looking cafe right in the heart of the CBD on High Street.

Their espresso was excellent and the cabinet display sweets and savouries were terribly tempted so I ordered a raspberry meringue with cream and it was exquisite. I'd like to revisit for lunch next time.

Service was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

Coming to the Shelf is such a decadent experience, the staff always go out of their way to make you comfortable. There is never a lack fo seating so it's great to know that they're glad to have you. I had a snow white hot chocolate here a few years ago and it was neither too sweet nor too hot, despite being the most delicious sweet hot drink I'd ever indulged in. Good memories. The prices on the eggs benedict are great too.

The cafe lives up to its name with the amount of shelves here. You can get all your signature cafe staples here and the prices are reasonable.

The eggs they do here are eggscellent(see what I did there?). They are smooth and creamy and not over done. The coffee here is so rich, creamy and velvety.

Everything was well presented and all good ingredients.

Each time I walk into this beautiful cosy cafe you are greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. A fine selection of drinks, hot and cold food and delicious treats like the almond croissant. The team at The Shelf are friendly, helpful and with lots of seating options, free WiFi you can enjoy your time here, perfect for remote workers, catch ups with friends or a little treat yo'self with tasty food and drink, it's worth a stop, Thank You Team Shelf.
