The Design Store

Love visiting this shop after having lunch in this area. A spacious shop with lots of display areas. Online shopping is great but I still prefer walking into the store and see how the sofa / coffee tables / flowers / home deco are displayed and put in the same space. Love its selection of home decor (candles, mirrors and artificial flowers) and gifts. Friendly staff and always got discounted items to choose from.

Their NZ made couches are beautiful, as are all couches made by EJP. I would always recommend the design store for them, but I would never recommend their Wairau store. The WORST service I've ever recieved. I went in when it was quiet on a thursday and there were 3 staff members on. The eldest lady there glared at me when I walked in and brusquely pushed past me to go help the delivery man at the front door. The youngest girl looked vacant, and the middle woman walked past me several times while I was sitting on couches but didn't extend an offer of help. I assume she thought someone else was helping me. It was only when I went up to the counter to order a sofa that the oldest lady managed to plaster a fake smile on for me. So rude, I will be going to Mt Eden from now on.

I love going in here for a browse. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are helpful and friendly, but let you look around without bothering you. They have lots of different home decor ideas, rugs and art work etc.

After months of searching I found the perfect couches here! Gorgeous designs are fantastic prices. I will be back!
