The Auckland War Memorial Museum

Wonderful museum for the whole family. Love their exploring science section for little ones as well as Maori history display. Was lucky to be able to see Kapa haha the last time I visited there.

I loved the museum when I was growing up but my autistic child finds it too static and not interactive enough, I think they would respond better if there were more digital/interactive displays added like at Te Papa or some of the museums in London (like having a health exhibit added and being able to walk through a blood flow maze or the chambers of the heart).

Personally, I appreciate the war memorial aspects and being able to remember family that served.

I love this museum, i often go and wander around it by myself as a treat. There is so much to see and i always find something new to learn which is wonderful. There are always alot of people there, and everyone always seems to be enjoying themselves.

a must visit if you are in auckland, loads of parking, could happily spend the day exploring this place, love to learn about our countrys history.

We had a great time here, it was very educational and emotional, the sounds that are on audio really capture the emotion of what it could have possibly felt like.
Absolutely enjoyed the experience, and had our children with us too.
