      The Auckland museum has a good historical children's toy section, also has massive NZ history section if you're into that. The Domain grounds are beautiful to walk around too, definitely go to the wintergraden if you're having a stroll.

      We also enjoy going to the seasonal exhibitions and evening 'Live!' sessions, I've found them to leave me thinking about the topics discussed for a few weeks after. Would recommend to both tourists and locals.

      We love the Auckland Museum! Free for Aucklanders. There are so many things to see and do. The volcano area is so impressive! The Dinosaurs skeletons is my son’s favourite. There are sea animals, birds, play area, caves and a lot more! A must visit place.

      Great museum to visit, it is interactive in parts and the Maori heritage is amazing to explore and learn about. The earthquake and volcano section is great for children to experience including the rumbling room!
