The Auckland War Memorial Museum

Aside from Te Papa, this is NZ's most significant museum. It has so much knowledge and history within its walls it must be viewed by all Kiwis

Massive exhibition and educational experience here, in the Akl museum. Free entry for Auckland residents and a great place to go. There are 120 minutes and 180 minutes free parking around the area or choose the underground paid parking. Remember the history and make a better future.

Wonderful museum, great for young and old, the kids love going and exploring all the different exhitbitions, love the 'old street'' so nice that it is free and of course inside!! A great rainy day activity!

The museum is nice but I just feel as though the exhibits are always the same. The last time I visited the museum was about 3 years ago and nothing has changed, except that they have removed the really cool little village that used to be on the top level. That was a shame. A great place for young families, I just wish it would be updated more often

Love that it is a war memorial museum but now that I have a young child I wish there was more use of digital and interactive exhibits like at Te Papa. Would also be better to have a large interactive area for kids easily accessible for young children on the ground floor.
