Tanuki 's Cave Yakitori Bar

It's great for sharing as they have an extensive meal to choose from. Would highly recommend the chicken cheese balls - deep fried, cheesey goodness. Service is attentive, atmosphere can seem a bit crowded as the place is small. But overall, a nice place to catch up with friends.

I don't come here often enough in my opinion. My whole family loves the atmosphere and never have any complaints about food or service. Always super fresh and even when there is a wait for a table it's never really noticed because of how welcome they make us all feel. Can't wait for the next visit!!

Really nice place location in the heart of Auckland. Parking is pretty hard to come by but the atmosphere is great, really intimate dining. Had the steak, was really nice and fresh, bit small portion but as I don't eat heaps it was perfect for me. Pricing was around what I thought it would be, they had a good selection of drinks and the staff were lovely. Well recommended.

Pricing is alright, some portions are much smaller than others but in general I’d say its worth it as the food is very tasty. The steak grilled skewer for example is small but very tasty and tender. The fried chicken tenderloin with cheese is more generous in size and also good. Ambience and service is absolutely great too.

Our favorite restaurant in Auckland! Can pop in late, food is always fast, great & delicious with awesome service. Highly recommended
