      I really enjoy coming here. It can get pretty busy though but it is worth the wait. Food is great and I love the atmosphere.

      Great central location. Atmosphere is very cool, being a “cave” seems to add to the intimate feeling. Great vegetarian options and sensational sake.

      A true stalwart of Japanese cuisine in Auckland. Tanuki's never fails to deliver on tasty skewered meats and vegetables, specials that are well worth a try and a diverse range of Sakis. The interior is cozy and sitting around the bar is a nice option for a quick bit before a show or on the way home after work.

      Definitely a really nice place and obviously in a nice location.
      I ordered: steak don, chicken don, yakitori sets.Foods are tasty and of generous sizes.I will recommend this. will go back for more.

      Great place to enjoy Japanese style tapas, it's quite popular and you can't make bookings so sometimes the wait is long, but definitely worth it!
