Taksim Turkish Bar and Kitchen

Upon entering Taksim Epsom, there’s an intimate moodiness to the ambiance of the restaurant with the chic interiors being embued with deep reds and blacks. The dim lighting adds to the drama of thus stunning looking restaurant and the maitre’d was highly hospitable and warm showing us to our table.

I’m excited initially by the diversity of patrons and the large groups so I’m eager to try the Taksim 3 Course menu and try the garlic spicy prawns which were exquisite, the shish chicken and with the baklava dessert to close. Unfortunately, my remaining 2 dishes were just average at best for Turkish cuisine.

Whilst the service was fantastic and the beauty of the restaurant was beguiling, the food overall was memorable for the wrong reasons.

The atmosphere is great. Very gorgeous decor and ambience. The food is good but nothing memorable especially not for the high price. However still worth the visit + the feed. They have a belly dancer there occasionally so it's an awesome experience all together.
