Shakespeare Hotel Tavern & Brewery

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The room was small but had everything we needed. Clean linen and fresh towels every day.

I went here on my birthday with friends. I got a voucher online from Grabone. It was cheap for a 3 course meal they were offering which also included drinks. The food was superb and had big servings especially their spare ribs and buffalo wings. We also loved their mac n cheese balls. Service wasn't perfect but the food took the spotlight.

I came here for the lunch special. Sat at the level 2 terrace to enjoy the afternoon sun while I enjoy the mussel pot with a pint of beer. I loved the view of busy Albert St from where I was. Price was really cheap considering its location. Staff was warm and hospitable. Service was efficient. Highly recommended!

Visited this grand old tavern the other day for their lunch special and was blown away with the Angus Steak meal for $10 that came with salad & chips, the steak was cooked to how I had ordered it & was what a steak should be. The service was outstanding & would highly recommend anyone to try out their lunch specials

Great central pub for after work drinky. Food was good, very large portions and fairly priced. Would be a great place to hire for private functions also.
