Ramen Takara

This is one of the best quality Japanese restaurants in Auckland and it is conveniently located along Ponsonby Road. We had a chance to visit it twice; one at lunch time and the other at dinner on a rainy Wednesday night. The place was crowded on both occasions, which is a testament to how popular it is. We patiently waited to be seated because we knew there will be good food for us. As expected, the noodle soup was flavoursome and the service was impressive.

Ramen takara is my absolute favourite place to eat!! I've never been disappointed The food is always fast to the table and consistently delicious!! Tantan ramen and the kaarage chicken are my favourite!!

At first glance, it looks as though it doesnt have much seating but this restaurant has a lovely courtyard out the back. Great ambiance with the rustic wood furniture, bench seats and hanging plants. The staff were lovely and attentive. It was just about to rain and they were very diligent in closing the windows well beforehand.

Home made noodles. Good rich broth. Near the beach. Good service.

It is ok, some ramen soup base is very good, but some are just so so. Great location and very chill by the seaside tho.
