Came for lunch, had an amazing seafood chowder and watched the yachts sail past from the warmth of the cafe. Lovely hosts; attentive.

had the seafood chowder, and it was the best I have ever had, full of seafood in digestible bites, and creamy filling and tasty. my companions were equally happy with their meals, which were packed with vegetables while still being flavorsome.

Came across Platter when visiting Devonport and deciding to take a stroll along the seafront. Unassuming exterior wasn’t very encouraging but once sat down service was perfect and the lunch was very enjoyable and fresh. Prices reasonable and I’m sure if it was on the main street it would be mobbed.

Great location - we were entertained watching the activities on the water across the road. Good service. Delicious food - my seafood chowder was excellent.
