Pet N Sur

When I insured our new kitten, I decided to insure our 10 year old (previously healthy) cat as well. Luckily I did, because several months later, he developed a tumour in his eye and had to have his eye removed. This involved vets visits, tests, specialist visit and surgery. As he was older it was a 50% co-pay, but I would not have been able to manage it all without the insurance. They also pre-approved the surgery which was the biggest expense. Payments back are pretty quick.

Pet-n-Sur have been fantastic in the last 4 years. Super easy claims and easy to deal with.

Seems to be good but of course they talk you into buying the plan and don't tell you that you can't cancel within 12 months without being charged a fee. I should've checked the fine print but this is not normally the case for insurance companies. Haven't claimed yet.
