I have stayed at the Parklane on a couple of occasions. It is situated so you are handy for both the North Shore and Auckland City. I always book the same room, so I know what I am getting. However, after a certain time, you can only enter this particular room from the back entrance, which is up a poorly lit set of outside stairs. It looks impressive from the outside, but, perhaps, some refurbishment is need.
