An awesome way to spend your whole day. Pack lunch and good walking shoes. Great for all ages. Just for the little ones a stroller would be handy as there is a lot of walking Involved. Most things are interactive and you get to climb aboard a train fossil. Staff aren’t really located throughout the park but are great to deal with at ticketing. Make sure you allocate all day start early in the morning to really get the benefit of the experience. Parking is horrible but if you are able to park near the zoo you are able to catch the tram around. Detailed more on the website for parking. Prices are really good considering the day spent and amount to see. The gift shop is also well priced and you will find some pretty cool things in there. The other part where the planes are (where you catch the tram from) is amazing to see aswell. A must see!!!!

A day at Motat is always a good day out. There are awesome temporary displays brought in from all over New Zealand and the airoplanes are really cool. There is always something new to play with and explore, we always find something different. The Motots area for toddlers is great when you want to get away from the noisiness of the rest of the place. The kids can run free and you can sit down and catch your breath. The staff here are always friendly and informative.

Not really my cup of tea but the kids love it. We also came here for their christmas evenings (gold coin donation) and I really enjoyed it. They have games that you can play like horseshoe throwing and bucket-cup walking etc. Lots of bright lights and attractions, plenty of photo ops!

Very unique museum in a very good central location. Plenty of free parking nearby. They also have great facilities that are well maintained. Very easy to nagivate and good fun for people of all ages. Great affordable weekend activity.

As part of an assignment I had to visit MOTAT and use their resources from many years ago, and of course whilst I was there I did some exploring and didn't really appreciate, until then, just how great MOTAT is. The history is intriguing, the interactive areas are great and fun for all ages! The learning was very fun too and in a creative way which is always better than simple reading
