This portrays a bit of NZ history, so is a great place to take children so they can learn how things were done in the past. You can get a whole lot of information from making a visit to motat.

I love visiting here, they always update their displays too. Good time with the family

Have brought my daughter here many times over the last few years. Great day on for the kids, lots to see and do, plenty on hands-on experiences. We love the mirror maze and the trams :) prices are reasonable, on downside is there is no parking at motat and on the weekends it can be a struggle to get parking.

Some good exhibitions, but very disappointing barely a vehicle for the kids to explore......going back you could climb on fire trucks/trains etc but no more. Would love to see some old cars/vehicles the kids could climb in/on

great place to take the family, you'll spend hours and possibly days exploring all the different vehicles. highly recommended if your passing by
