Mexico is one of my favourite chains and Ponsonby is no different. Great vibes and food and even better margaritas!

Delicious Mexican restaurant, similar to the others in the chain but the food is always really fresh and high quality. Service is really excellent as well.

One of the male staff was very unfriendly everytime he came to our table. The girl serving us was alright. My friend asked for a 2nd beer, after 30 minutes we still hadn’t received the beer and asked where it was and then they said: what could have happened is that we are out of beer.... so they weren’t gonna mention it to us and offer us an alternative... then halfway through our night we were still drinking and planning on drinking more, very impolite the bill was just THROWN on our table as a big hint of: just leave....
on the bill the beer my friend asked but never received was added, when telling them we never got that beer they argued with us until I had to raise my voice. Having a history as a bar manager in one of Aucklands busiest bars, I understand the workload and how difficult some clients can be but I would never want to work with this staff!

Such a vibe. My favorite Mexico out of all of them in Auckland. always exception service and food.
