Maelstrom Hairdressing

I went to this salon to get my hair coloured. The staff were lovely and I was actually really happy with the colour upon leaving. The service was very much on the ‘far too expensive’ side and this salon requires a $25 deposit to be paid upon booking which is annoying but okay.

My issue was when I contacted them to cancel my next appointment due to me moving to the South Island for summer. I asked if I could get the deposit back and it has been a whole month with no straight answer. Stealing clients money is not super professional if you ask me.

I had an appointment with Shin for a men's haircut. He did a good job, the price was around $50 which I find acceptable for a quality cut. Would definitely go again.
