Little Bird Organics & The Unbakery

I have only been the the Ponsonby Little Bird but there is no page for the Ponsonby cafe yet so I will put my two cents worth here. I absolutely LOVE this place!! I was hooked from the very first bite. The food is incredible. I have always been open minded to raw food, but I had no idea just how delicious and flavorful raw food could be! The biggest test was taking my meat-eating father there, he's the sort of person who doesn't think a meal is complete without meat. He has been known to sit at the dinner table pushing food around his plate when he has been served something vegetarian at home, and once everyone has finished, will say "I'll eat this later, I'm not hungry", and then go and cook a piece of steak. But, he loved the food! The staff are always so lovely, the service is awesome, the meals are well-priced, the decor is gorgeous, they use fresh, organic produce and they are eco-conscious! And you know that regardless of what you order, you are going to get a plate of goodness! Every single person I have taken there has fallen in love with it like me. I just wish they would open one in Tauranga!

This place is one of a kind. Great to see real food without all the rubbish in it that you are in many other places. So delicious.

The plant based raw meals was good. I will come back because of the healthy food

Not only an excellent cafe but the perfect spot to get a gift for a friend.
A gluten free friend of mine had a baby and a few friends and I wanted to put together a gift basket. They did such a great job and organised it with no fuss.

Even if you're not gluten intolerant or looking for raw food id recommend this place. They offer an excellent menu and their smoothies are fantastic. Really good food.
