Hygrade Motors

Not upfront and game-playing. My experience at Hygrade Motors.

I visited Hygrade Motors today to get a quote for the repair of my vehicle. A 2 minute task. After a conversation and a little show & tell I was told by a man if I came back at 4:30 he could help me. On returning I could sense the man I was dealing with was playing a little power game. I was being messed around and having my time wasted just because the guy could.
I sat in reception and was a fly on the wall as they dealt with other customers. Some of the workers were indeed polite to their customers, they also tried to make each one feel like they were doing them a special special favour. Finally, at closing time the guy who I was dealing with quit watching me from afar and engaged me in reception again with a cheekiness in his voice. Then simply turned to a receptionist and told him to write up a quote, then disappeared.

The character could have done that from the beginning.
There had been multiple people idle in reception aaaaall along.

- Game playing.
- The opposite of straight up.
- Will sell you a practised story with 'kindness' in their voice.
