event cinema queen street offering imax with laser took movie watching experience in nz to a different level all together. LOVED IT JUST LOVED IT

We only come here for Imax as the complex is a vertigo-inducing nightmare. As others have stated the cinemas are a bit run down and well overdue for an update, however they are kept clean and tidy, and there is always a large selection of movies to choose from.

This is not my favourite cinema. I find the steep escalators and high walkway very frightening. Even using the lfts can still mean having to use the walkway. The foodcourt downstairs is also looking a wee bit tired.

The cinema itself is pretty run down, but the IMAX screen makes up for it. Staff are usually a bit tired and look like they don't want to be there.

Went a few weeks ago to a movie and have to say it's looking a bit tired. Not much has changed since I used to go as a teenager. It's nice to see the arcade still there but overall the cinemas could do with some updating.
