Lovely garden but fees to get in and a pricey but very average cafe with unfriendly cafe staff. Garden is best in Spring for bulbs and Autumn for camellias.

Big enough for pre-school kids to be happy. Definitely felt like a secret garden as a I had no idea previously it was there. For us, on a weekday, it was a good sensory break as it was quiet and the tracks were well maintained. It was nice getting up to the top area and just sitting to look out over the trees. There is an entry fee but worth checking out. There's also a cafe for a coffee and snack.

I went there on last Sunday. They had a Tulip festival for 2 days. It's a beautiful garden situated in the heart of busy Auckland. A must visit place to see the beauty of the nature. The Tulip festival was so good, they have planted beautiful colors of tulips. I was fascinated by those lovely tulips. My favourite flower is tulip. So that is only my opinion.
They provide good customer service at the reception. We went a group. For students they reduce $4 from the adult ticket price which is normally $10, (you have to show the student card,so don't forget to bring it) For senior citizens also $6. And the best thing is children under 12 years are free. We had 5 kids in our group,so it was good as we don't have to pay for kids under 12. And other great thing is for every kid they give a task sheet at the reception when going in to the garden. There are pictures (pictures of flowers ,plants) in the sheet and kids have to mark the sheet when they see those things in the garden. When going back kids showed the sheet to the reception, they gave each kid a candy pack. Kids were so happy.
Wander around this 2 hectare garden with your family. It will be a nice experience.

Quiet little gardens, great place for a walk, really beautiful and well maintain. Only downside is they are not free, bit expensive for what you get.
