Countdown Supermarkets

I went to buy a few beers for a BBQ and they wouldn't let me buy them because they said I looked between 20 to 25. It was ridiculous! I'm 33 and there is no chance I would look in the early twenties, specially that I have a beard with grey hair. I showed both, my Driver Licence and my International Driver License and they refused to accept them because they requested my passport, which I didn't have with me at that time.

Absolutely love what they've done with this Countdown - the coffee shop is a great addition. You can always find what you're looking for here and the beer and wine selection is great.

Love the newly refurbished countdown - especially the addition of a coffee shop on-site. Love the new layout as well as the in-store pharmacy. The beer and wine selection has also improved! Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in a while.

As usual with most countdowns prices are very reasonable with lots of sales.
Parking is never a problem and can always get a spot near the entrance.
Checkout lanes are usually not long and the staff has been generally really friendly.
Wife and I have made this store our top grocery store and will continue to keep it as such.

We enjoy our weekly grocery shopping at the Countdown... refurbished one is alot bigger and spacious many more items to choose from and Pharmacy and Cafe addition looks good. Lots more parking space and easy access... Happy New Year and fabulous 2017 to everyone at the Countdown... you guys are great!!! :)
