Countdown Supermarkets

This store is pretty new and they have looked after it quite well. The range has improved a lot since I was last in there and the store is an enjoyable place to grab some groceries on the way home.

Compared to other branches, this one is only not bad. Not saying it doesn't offer much grocery, but the shopping environment is not as good as others e.g. the Takapuna branch or the Milford branch.

I went to buy a few beers for a BBQ and they wouldn't let me buy them because they said I looked between 20 to 25. It was ridiculous! I'm 33 and there is no chance I would look in the early twenties, specially that I have a beard with grey hair. I showed both, my Driver Licence and my International Driver License and they refused to accept them because they requested my passport, which I didn't have with me at that time.

This Countdown has a pharmacy inside which is super handy. Layout is nice and self checkouts make things easy.

I appreciate the huge range of organic products and fancy cheese this countdown stocks which can be hard to find elsewhere for good prices. However, I am often disappointed by their customer service, they have been rather rude and unhelpful when I've asked for help locating products. Plenty of parking.
