Cosset

Scone here is very nice, brunch is also delicious with good cafe

My friend and I decided we wanted to try Cosset after passing by so many times, on a rainy day of Spring we found the cosy little ?hic cafe to be the perfect remedy for our hunger.
We got two flat whites to go, which were quite creamy and sweet - a bit too much milk.
I had the pumpkin soup with toast, I am a lover of pumpkin soup so when it was served with a mini baguette and warm butter on the side I got very excited! It was a lovely pumpkin soup, smooth with small chunks of pumpkin, the baguette itself feel quite bland and lacked the freshness of homemade bread which was what I was expecting, but it's still something I would order again!
My friend had the blueberry and almond hot cakes with a vegan cashew cream. They were perfect little hot cakes with crushed almonds sprinkled over the top and a chunky blueberry compote and cashew cream in cute little jugs at the side. The cashew cream isn't necessarily appealing to all taste buds, it has a certain edge and slight sweetness that not everyone will like.
Presentation of dishes was exquisite and service was fantastic! Food was above average at very decent prices.
I will most definitely be returning

Cosset is such a great place! Definitely worth heading out to Mount Albert for (it's not that far, really!) They have the most amazing assortment of cakes and treats, fantastic smoothies, one of the only places to get dairy-free chai - and the lavender latte is definitely also a lovely soul-soothing treat. It's also very very cute and intimate. And, the prices are very reasonable. I love it !
