I bought a piece of carpet after seeing a small sample produced by my carpet layer. Huge mistake! He didn't recommend I see a larger piece and I had no idea that when the pile was one way it looked grey which is what I wanted, but when the pile is flattened the other way, it is white. I never wanted a white carpet and when it was laid it had a strong crease and flattened patches of pile in 3 stripes across the full width. I am trying to sell my house so this is a complete disaster and whichever way you vacuum it, it looks patchy and white. Every footstep and movement leaves an impression on the pile. It is truly awful. I contacted the store the day it was laid - I had to wait for 3 days for someone to come and look at it and I was told that is the way it is and the flattened pile would look better in a few weeks! No guarantees though! I had to cancel the Open Home and I wrote a letter of complaint which I dropped off to the manager - no response. I wrote a follow up email. No response. I am very disappointed in the carpet - hate that it is white and patchy and the store aren't interested. Buyers beware!
