John Hill Estate

The food at John Hill Estate was beautiful. However, be aware that they close the kitchen ridiculously early. I went with a group of girlfriends and had booked a table for 7pm on a Sunday night. We had a lovely dinner, the food was amazing and the setting beautiful. It got to about 8:15 and we signaled to the waitress that we would like to have a look at the dessert menu. She said that the kitchen had closed. We were gobsmacked. We were not informed of this. Having been denied dessert, we went to pay and I was asked how our meals were. I replied (nicely) that everything was lovely except that we weren't able to order dessert as we were not informed that the kitchen had closed. Our waitress should have informed us. The girl taking payment was really rude and basically told me off for making the reservation time too late and that it wasn't her fault. And that will be the very last time I go to the Estate. They can keep their food and their rude staff!

A wonderfull first class dining experience. friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice food and good wine (although they make a lighter style red than my natural preference) - the Cabernet Frank was a particular stand out.

Staff were fantastic and helpful; and made all the difference helping deal with our 3 children.
Childrens menu was a bit disappointing - but the gourmet pizza and platters availble make that somewhat of a moot point.

Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be going again.
