Agree with Imogen below. Have had new dryer break down and still waiting since January 16th for repair tech to return. Next to impossible to get through to Customer Service and have been told by one person that part is on back order and by another that I needed to understand that the technician may be on leave! Third person told me that sometimes the parts need to be made and that this could take a while. Technician's are booked in half day slots and F & P are not able to give you a more accurate time frame. First time buyer of Fisher and Paykel. Never again!

Our drier, newly bought, has a problem with it and cannot be used. Contact center lady was helpful when we made the booking for a technician although we did find it odd that she couldn't give us a specific time on the day the technician was available. Come the day, my husband takes a half day annual leave from work in order to be there at the specified time which was anytime between 12 and 5 - Cheers for being so vague! In the morning, the tracked job online changed three times: from 2-3 to 1-2 to 12-1. Again, cheers F&P technicians for being so vague! The soonest my husband could get home was 1. Turns out the technician turned up at our place after 12, saw no one was home and COULDN'T COME BACK AGAIN INTO THE AREA for some reason! When my husband confronted someone at the contact center about this, she said there are a variety of reasons technicians can't be called to an address for a specific time: traffic, call outs elsewhere etc. So we apparently had to rebook for over a week later! ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Sounds to us like the F&P technicians are a) clearly understaffed and b) clearly not customer-focused! We don't have the luxury of staying at home all day. Some people have to work, you know, and getting annual leave isn't always easy! People have lives and you can't expect us to be at our home at the drop of a hat. Brush up your communication skills, F&P! You have thoroughly annoyed us. Thoroughly.

I recently made a call to the Contact Centre for assistance. The lady on the other end was kind enough to go through some trouble shooting techniques to avoid a technician coming out unecessarily at a cost. After doing what she had asked me to do, as I had already done a few other things before I called them, I was able to finally fix my leaky washing machine. Great customer service!
